Disappointment for Baldock in the Men's Area League final when they lost to Whitethorn in a match they dominated for much of the time. Things were progressing well until the last 5 ends when Mike Parsons rink saw their lead diminish whilst Jim McIntyre's rink were unable to reduce the deficit  and the final result was a 2 shot win for Whitethorn by 44 shots to 42.

Better news for the club in the Letchworth & District semi-finals where Phil Riley and Mike Parsons overcame rivals from Roebuck to book a place in the final. There was double success for Brian Todd who reached the final of the Champion of Champions single final and also the Mixed Pairs final partnered by Anne Haywood.

During the week the midweek triples team played Riverain and came away with a convincing 84 to 51 shot win.
