In the semi-final they lost to Harpenden who played Buntingford BC in the final, who finally won the County League Title. For the Andrews family father Paul beat Jamie Claydon in the Championship singles and the Sets singles but lost to him in the 2 wood singles. Son Sam Andrews lost the singles handicap narrowly to Martin Roberts but won the Butler Cup. However there was consolation in the singles where Paul Andrews had a good win and his son Sam also won in the semi-final of the Under 25 singles. In the men’s 2 wood singles Joe Moorley beat club mate Steve Budge. In the County Fours the team of Dave Davies, Phil Riley, Brian Todd and Mike Parsons have reached the semi-final stage. Another Baldock team led by Rob Dempster just failed at the same stage so there will be no all Baldock Final this year.</span></div><div><span class="fs12lh1-5 cf1"> </span></div><div><span class="fs12lh1-5 cf1">In the County Top Ten competition Baldock beat Harpenden and will now meet Townsend St Albans. The weather was superb and over 100 people of all ages turned up to try the sport. Baldock had already recruited 10 new members this season and after the Open Day another 7 wanted coaching to become members.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span class="fs12lh1-5 cf1">On the green the County triples and fours progress and the club still has several teams in each competition moving into the third round.</span></div><div><span class="fs12lh1-5 cf1">The ladies played Riverain I the Top Club competition and won by 3 disciplines to 1.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span class="fs12lh1-5 cf1">In the weekend fixtures Baldock travelled to Rosedale on Saturday and won on all 4 triples with a total score of 94 shots to 41.
