Club News - 24th August 2026The National Bowls Championships continues at Leamington Spa with our club representing Hertfordshire in several events. Our Senior Four of Steve Budge, Paul Hastings, Martin Roberts and Paul Andrews continued their winning run. They beat Berkshire 19-12, Lincolnshire 17-10 and in the Semi Final it was 18-18 losing the extra end by one shot. Unfortunately our two juniors lost their singles games - Lorcan Saunders to Dorset 17-21 and Sam Andrews to Berkshire 14-21. In the Triples Aaron Heath, Sam Andrews and Darren Hickin lost to Middlesex 11-14. In the Ladies Pairs Sarah Berry and Julie Mutter beat Hampshire 20-12 but lost to Durham 7-23. Back home we won the Cairns Cup beating Stevenage 79-50. We won the Stevenage and District Knockout Cup Final beating Stevenage by 15 shots. In friendly games we lost to Hitchin 45-62, beat St Andrews, Biggleswade 46-37 and beat Buntingford 62-56. Finally in the Mixed League we beat Royston 61-33 gaining all 6 points.
